The First Ether District

MTC | Day 3 to 5 |
DECEMBER 22-24, 2013:
We are the very first Ether District in MTC Manila history. Our district is composed of Elders Ursua, Manzanas, Savedra, and me; together with Sisters Domingo and Oliva. Today is our first Sabbath Day in the MTC. We also had leadership training before the sacrament and President Beck (Philippines MTC President) discussed some important things about leadership. Each of us (leaders) reports how our district is doing. Ether District was fine. We adjusted really well in our schedules.

The other Elders in our district are Elder John Savedra and Elder Jared Manzanas. We are getting along really well. We always had fun in our room. Haha. Elder Savedra is from Laguna and he is a quiet type of person. He is the youngest among us and we are both in Phils. Legazpi mission (The best mission! 😁). Elder Manzanas is the funny one, he makes us laugh all the time. He also likes sports especially basketball. He is from Ilocos and he will be assigned in Naga.

Ether sisters are Sister Kristine Oliva and Sister Liahona Domingo.
Sister Domingo is kind of a shy person and she is knowledgeable in the gospel. She'll be going to Cebu Mission. Sister Oliva is an energetic and always happy type of person. She is a registered nurse and she will be with Elders Ursua and Manzanas in Naga mission.

Notable moments of December 22 to 24:
- First Sabbath Day in the MTC.
- Leader's Meeting.
- First District Meeting. We shared testimonies and some stuff about life before our mission life.
- Priesthood Meeting.
- Joseph Smith movie.
- Exercise in the morning. We played basketball and our district won. ☝
- They taught us "How to Begin Teaching" and "Restoration". Afterward, we practice teach and my role is an investigator.
- We taught Bro. Austria and Bro. Abad.
- My Personal Teaching Rate (the way I rate our teaching):
- Bro. Austria (LA): 65% (We taught him about tithing.)
- Bro. Abad (I): 60% (Second visit and we gave him BoM and he accepted it.)
- Exercise in the morning. We played volleyball and we won again. ✌
- They taught us the "Plan of Salvation".
- We taught Sis. Sodoso and Sis. Buao.
- My Personal Teaching Rate (the way I rate our teaching):
- Sis. Sodoso (I): 50% (Second visit, my companion is good at teaching and I'm not.😔)
- Sis. Buao (I): 45% (Second visit, I'm not well prepared.😞)
