BAGAMANOC | Day 83 |

JULY 7, 2014:
We're in Virac and this is the last day of my companionship with Elder Bacalso. The A.P. called us and they told me that I'll be no longer a Junior. I'll be the Senior on my next companionship. It will be an added responsibility. Honestly, I'm content on being a Junior and just following around my senior companion. 😅

The shocking moment that happened today is when Pres. Guanzon called us and he talked and asked my companion about something. It was a piece of bad news. A bad rumor reached Pres. Guanzon about my companion and he asked him about it. That moment hit Elder Bacalso really hard. We thought that this emergency transfer was not about him or something but it's the other way around. 😔 He was really sad and he is in a negative mood. Because of that incident he really wanted to go home and not finish his mission. He didn't want to get transferred tomorrow. I understand his feelings. I'm sad and kind of disappointed too. We're doing great in these past several weeks. We're really killing it in our key indicators. We're really working hard and this thing happened. Whoever that malicious mouth that sent bad rumor about my companion, God bless him/her.

I and the Zone Leaders talked to him and we all gave advice. As much as possible I am trying to comfort him. He is not just my companion, he is also my friend. I want to help him overcome this trial that came upon him. We had many good times together. I learned so much from him about teaching and doctrines. I'll treasure it. I really hope he will move on from this incident.

BAGAMANOC | Day 81 to 82 |

JULY 5, 2014:
We already exceeded the SoE this week. We are in a three consecutive SoEs right now! 😃 We had 10 lessons and a new part member investigator today. She is Sis. Melinda, the sister of Bro. Rene (Second counselor). Today was also our last day in Sitio Tondo and some parts of Sagrada because of the area realignment. I'll miss teaching the Ara Family, Santelices Family, Toltol Family, and our other investigators there. Our area in San Vicente will also be expanded a little bit.

JULY 6, 2014:
This is my best week so far together with my companion, Elder Bacalso. We had 45 total lessons this week and 10 of our investigators attended the sacrament meeting! 😄 New and returning members who attend the sacrament is always consistently high. We had our ups and downs before but we're really on fire these past three weeks. Our hard work is paying off. 😌


We received shocking news at night. The A.P.s called us on the phone and they told me that my companion will be emergency transferred! I was shocked. 😲 The first thing that came in my mind was probably he will become a leader in his new area because of our hard work lately. If that's the case I am so happy for him. He deserved it. 😀 Hopefully, it will.

BAGAMANOC | Day 79 to 80 |

JULY 3, 2014:
We're in Virac right now for the Zone Training tomorrow. Unfortunately after one to two hours of our arrival, a brownout happened. We're really lucky eh? 😫 We did our usual P-Day city routine. In e-mail time, I greet my two best friends (Janelle and Socorro) because it is their birthday today and tomorrow. I also got a new experimental haircut and I'm not used to it! Haha. I look like a fat mushroom. 🍄


JULY 4, 2014:
We had a nice and fun Zone Training. The chemistry of our Zone Leaders (E. Centeno & E. Leal) is great. I also participated well and I learned new things on how to invite our investigators to attend church meetings in different ways. I also like Sis. Ogden's (STL) message. She said "When you are assigned to an island it will show your true color. If you are for God or you are for yourself only." Elder Bacalso and I decided that we will leave after the Z.T. to catch the last trip of the bus or van to Bagamanoc so we have a full day of work tomorrow. We are really committed to being a hard worker. It is a disadvantage when you are assigned to the farthest area in the mission. When you have travels you will lose at least two days being in your area. Before we leave, I had a picture with my batchmates. 😊 We arrived around 7 pm in San Vicente.

BAGAMANOC | Day 77 to 78 |

JULY 1, 2014:
We are excited about this month. I know great things will happen this month and it could be also my last month here in Catanduanes. We had our lunch at Bro. Albert's house. He and his family are also nice to us. The second day of the blackout. There's still no electricity today but we still share the gospel. We had candlelight lessons at night. Haha. It's nice. We also had a new part member investigator today. Her name is Chin Chin and she is a part of the Santelices Family. She's a smart kid. 😊

JULY 2, 2014:
Three days straight blackout. No worries. We still doing our missionary purpose. It's challenging but we are enduring it. 💪 These past few days we had new member presents in our lessons. They are Bro. Steven and Sis. Jercil. They are also nice and easy to get along with. We had 11 lessons today. I think that's our highest in one day as a companionship. One of them is with a young man named Ezekiel. We taught him about missionary work and he said he also wanted to be a missionary someday. I really hope he will and we will help him as long as we are here. He is a good kid. Elder Bacalso and I are really stepping it up lately. We're both happy doing it. 😊 The real challenge during blackouts is the mosquitos. Luckily we are dead tired at the end of the day and we can sleep easily.

BAGAMANOC | Day 75 to 76 |

JUNE 29, 2014:
We had a great week! We had 40 lessons and 7 of our investigators attended sacrament meeting! 😃 We're getting the results of our hard work. I know that we can still step it up a little more. Being more obedient really helps too. It's awesome to help people. 😀 We also had buko sessions with Bro. Ronie and friends. 🥥

JUNE 30, 2014:
We did our usual P-Day routines and unfortunately, there's no electricity for a long period of time. We bond at Bro. Ronnie's house. I cooked pasta for them and they like it. We proselyted at night and we are blessed with 6 lessons. Our goal for this week is to exceed the goal that we achieved last week. I know we can do it. We're pumped up! 😃

BAGAMANOC | Day 73 to 74 |

JUNE 27, 2014:
It's my companion's birthday! 😀 We did WPS in the morning and we proselyte in the afternoon. Elder Bacalso planned on having a birthday celebration in the evening. We also invited some members. He asked Nanay Lopez if we can celebrate in their house with some members attending a day before. Sis. Hermie also catered food for this occasion. We celebrated my companion's birthday and we all had fun together with our housemates. We are also blessed with 7 lessons today including Bro. Magin's referral. His part member (daughter in law), Sis. Mary Rose.

JUNE 28, 2014:
In the morning while having breakfast we sat outside our apartment. Elder Moran found a flightless bird and I played with our neighbor's puppy. There's also a cute, chubby, tiny dog in our area in Sagrada. Animals are also a good stress reliever but we have a rule that we can't keep any animals in our apartment so we are content in just seeing them outside. 😅 We had 9 lessons today. I also prayed and blessed Nanay Lydia Ara because she is sick. I hope she'll get well soon.

BAGAMANOC | Day 71 to 72 |

JUNE 25, 2014:
We traveled to Virac today for the interviews. President Guanzon is in Catanduanes right now. This is also the first time that I and Elder Bacalso met the new Zone Leader, Elder Leal. He is a cool Zone Leader and he jived really well with Elder Centeno. We also had an early District Meeting while waiting for our turn to get interviewed. The ZLs also attended our D.M. and the topic was about asking for referrals. It went well and we learned different ways of it. My interview went well and the most memorable thing is when I share our recent experiences in our area. I also told that being exactly obedient is way better than being selective obedient. Pres. Guanzon was happy with my progress as a missionary. He also notices the progression of our work in our area. 😀 The best thing that happened tonight is when Pres. Guanzon treats us (all Catanduanes missionaries) dinner at Blossoms. We can order all we can eat. It's awesome! Blossoms' food and beverages are great! 😍

JUNE 26, 2014:
It was a rainy day. This is our first time traveling in the boat while raining. The waves are kinda high. 😨 We arrived safely. We rest a little bit and we still work afterward even though we're really tired from the long travel. We are blessed with 6 lessons. 😊
