Baptism: Jerry Genodipa & Fatima Gabion

APRIL 4, 2015:
Today was the baptism of Bro. Jerry and Sis. Fatima! The long wait is over for them. 😃 Many members attended to show their love and support for them. I'm currently 15 months here in the mission and I experienced baptizing in the baptismal font, in the river, in the sea, and in a swimming pool. I really thought that I experienced it all already but it's not. They got baptized in a hot spring! 😶 It was the backup plan of our Branch President because the pool that we shortly rented last time for the baptism is closed. It's not as solemn as the previous places that I mentioned but at the end of the day, the important thing is they got baptized and made an everlasting covenant to our Father in Heaven.

After the baptism, we went back to the meeting house in Irosin to close the baptismal program in there. I also played the piano for this special event. I'm thankful for my companion, he's the one who taught me patiently. 😅

Bro. Jerry is a quiet person. He is a good friend and referral of a recent convert member. Everytime we're teaching Bro. Jerry, Bro. Danilo is always present and we're thankful for his support throughout this journey. We're all happy for Bro. Jerry that he persevered, took the next step, and made this covenant to our Heavenly Father. He also said to us before that he wanted to be an example to his family. 😊

Sis. Fatima is an intelligent and jolly person. She answers really well and that's a testament that she listens to us and read the assignments that we left to her. Her parents is supportive throughout this process, and having youth friends in Irosin Branch also helps. She's happy that she's finally baptized now. 😀

We're all thankful for all the members that attended this baptism. I know that Bro. Jerry and Fatima also appreciates all the support. 😊 Scripture verse of the day, 1 Timothy 6:6.
