General Conference: April 2015

APRIL 12, 2015:
We watched the April 2015 General Conference Sunday morning session. Here are the things that I learned or liked today:
- President Thomas S. Monson's speech about the blessings of the temple. As we attend the temple, there can come to us a dimension of spirituality and a feeling of peace which will transcend any other feeling which could come into the human heart. Such peace can permeate any hearts that are troubled, hearts that are burdened down with grief, hearts that feel confusion, hearts that plead for help.
- Elder Jeffrey R. Holland's speech about where justice, love, and mercy meet. The Atonement would achieve complete victory over physical death, unconditionally granting resurrection to every person who has been born or ever will be born into this world. Mercifully it would also provide forgiveness for the personal sins of all, from Adam to the end of the world, conditioned upon repentance and obedience to divine commandments.
- Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf's speech about the gift of grace. Living the gospel faithfully is not a burden. It is a joyful rehearsal, a preparation for inheriting the grand glory of the eternities. We seek to obey our Heavenly Father because our spirits will become more attuned to spiritual things. Enlightenment and understanding come to us when we do the will of the Father. Today and forevermore God’s grace is available to all whose hearts are broken and whose spirits are contrite. Jesus Christ has cleared the way for us to ascend to heights incomprehensible to mortal minds.

I'm happy that many members and investigators watched this conference here in Irosin Branch. Bro. Aldrin Cope from my previous area in Tiwi was also unexpectedly present! We had a mini-reunion with Elder Reyes. Haha. 😄
It's a wonderful day. Our spirits are all filled up today. Listening to the leaders of the church is spiritually fulfilling. Additionally, I also like Sister Linda K. Burton's talk about ascending together. One particular quote that I like is "complete each other, don't compete with each other". This quote might be helpful in the future. 😏
