Philippines Legazpi Mission: Elder Feraer

We watched the April 2015 General Conference Sunday morning session. Here are the things that I learned or liked today:

Today was the first day in our new area. We met the Gibada Family and they are close relatives of our investigator (Judy Mae's family). It's really nice meeting them and they are really interested in the gospel. They are also progressing investigators. We had twelve lessons today. It was a fun and exhausting day but all is well. 😊

New planner cover for this transfer cycle.

Scripture for the day, Exodus 20:3-17. There are commandments that were given by our Lord in the Mosaic time and it is still important that we obey them.

Transfer day! I saw my former companion and trainee again! 😀 It's been a long time since I saw him. He'll be assigned to Sorsogon Zone and that will be his second area. I also saw some of my previous zone mates and mission friends. The most important thing is we finally met our new housemates. They are Elder Reyes and Elder Mallabo. They'll be returning to Bulan Zone. They are previously assigned here before (Bulusan and Matnog). This will be also the second time that Elder Reyes and I are housemates. 😆

P-Day! The most notable moment today was the farewell party of Elder Siarez and Elder Witehira. They'll be transferred tomorrow and this is their last day with the Irosin Branch members. Many members and investigators attended this event and it was fun and emotional at the same time. The members will definitely miss these two good missionaries, of course, Elder Alolor and I will miss them too. Personally, they are really nice and fun to be with genuinely. I didn't adjust myself to them when I first got here in Irosin. They're really friendly and nice. I know they are needed in their next area (I have a feeling that they'll be assigned to Catanduanes or Masbate. 😁) This will be also the opportunity for them to grow and become a better disciple of Christ. I really wish them all the best.

There's plenty of missionaries who attended sacrament meeting in Irosin Branch today. The members here are amazed to see many missionaries in one place. There's also an R.M. present who were assigned here before. It's cool. 🙂

Today was the baptism of Bro. Jerry and Sis. Fatima! The long wait is over for them. 😃 Many members attended to show their love and support for them. I'm currently 15 months here in the mission and I experienced baptizing in the baptismal font, in the river, in the sea, and in a swimming pool. I really thought that I experienced it all already but it's not. They got baptized in a hot spring! 😶 It was the backup plan of our Branch President because the pool that we shortly rented last time for the baptism is closed. It's not as solemn as the previous places that I mentioned but at the end of the day, the important thing is they got baptized and made an everlasting covenant to our Father in Heaven.
