IROSIN | Day 64 to 66 |
APRIL 28, 2015:
We had eleven lessons today and we also met two new investigators. One of them is a member of a different sect. Even though he is rude sometimes, we are patient with him. He is saying and asking some questions that do not make sense but we still answered him respectfully. Jacob 6:12 As missionaries we are not advised to debate with someone because it will take the precious time of others who are interested to hear the gospel. It is just a waste of time. Besides, it will only invite contention and if there is contention, it is not good for the companionship of the Holy Ghost.
APRIL 29, 2015:
Today was the first time that we went to Carriedo. That place is part of our new area. It is also one of the farthest. It was a long road but we enjoy every second of it (maybe because it is our first time exploring it. Haha.)
The most memorable moment that happened today was when the guy that we encountered yesterday went and joined our lesson with the recent converts. He said that they didn't believe that Jesus Christ is a God. I couldn't stand it anymore. The way he talks isn't respectful either. So I still answered in a respectful way but this time I am firmed and I stand my ground. I testified from the bottom of my heart that Jesus is a God and our savior. Through Him, we can be cleansed from our sin and we can return to our Father in Heaven again because of the atonement. I also used verses from the Bible that they are also using and acknowledging. 1 Timothy 4:10; Philippinas 3:20. He didn't say anything or answer back afterwards. We invited him to read the Book of Mormon with the intent to know the truth and asked God if it is true.
APRIL 30, 2015:
We had twelve lessons today and met three new investigators. I hope they'll all continue listening to the gospel of Jesus Christ. My favorite scripture verses that we share today are found in D&C 131:1-4. Also, I've tried something new today, Raspberry juice! It is really good. I like it!
